What is Coaching and what type do I need?
Coaching Definition
Originally, the word “coach” referred to a horse-drawn vehicle that would
take people from where they were to where they wanted to be. Current day coaching has a similar purpose. Fundamentally, coaching helps you identify where you are now and partners with you to get where you want to be.

What Does A Typical
Session Look Like?
Coaching is done in a virtual meeting platform. It
typically begins with an initial consultation that lasts 90 minutes. During this first session, many things are accomplished. You share your current opportunities and the challenges you are facing. As you share, we identify your core values and what you really want, hope or dream of. We list the results or outcomes that you want to achieve. This helps give definition to what success looks like to you and it gives us the destination you want to go to. We will also define the scope of our coaching relationship so we can be focused at each future session so your investment of time and money is well spent.
Each additional session generally lasts 60 minute. Each session, you choose the focus of the interaction while
I do active listening. I encourage you with observations, questions, and summaries that help you hear what
you have said. I also remind you of your priorities,
values, and goals. This creates a safe place for you to have clarity and move forward into the SMART goals
and action plans you develop.
The duration of our professional relationship is
determined by your personal needs and preferences. However, initially, I do ask for at least a
three-month commitment as it takes
at least that long, in most cases,
to achieve lasting results.
